Godspeed You! Black Emperor comes to Finland next spring!

Post-rock giant Godspeed You! Black Emperor will return to Finland next spring. The Canadian band, which enjoys unwavering cult status around the world, will perform at Tampere's Tavara-asema on Sunday 1st of March.

Founded in Montreal in 1994, Godspeed You! Black Emperor's pure, cathartic music is built around guitars, drums and strings, combining cinematic art music with a krautrock sound.

Starting as a trio and growing to a maximum of 15 members, the band has released eight studio albums during its career. The latest, "NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD", was released in February 2024 and strongly comments on the current situation in Gaza.

Thirty years after its formation, GY!BE remains as uncompromising and enigmatic as ever, but its message is clearer than ever: when hope alone is not enough to dispel the darkness, seek joy directly.
