The evening will kick off with a dive into Tampere's intriguing queer history. Our guide will be Arttu Soilumo, who has created a playful quiz called [KVÄÄR]hoot! Manse's Queer History Quiz, inspired by the hugely popular play Peltienkelit from Tampereen Teatteri. Prices for the quiz are provided by the sexual health and pleasure store Maukaste.

Glamour and campness will be brought to the stage by the drag collective House of Auer, which draws inspiration from memes, Tarja Halonen, and laundromats. This world-renowned group will launch the party with a sensual and self-assured DJ set.

After House of Auer, the [KVÄÄR] crowd will be kept dancing by Lida Moeini – a DJ familiar from Radio Helsinki, who knows how to blend nostalgic classics and new gems into an irresistible hit medley! The event will be hosted by Kasper Korpela, who charmed us at the last [KVÄÄR]-event.

[KVÄÄR] is a fun, quirky, and sex-positive event series aimed at creating more safe spaces for queer individuals and those who may not feel safe in traditional nightclubs. [KVÄÄR] events are open to all friends of LGBTQ+ culture. Welcome to celebrate a fabulous and uniting Independence Day at Tavara-asema.
